Investiture Ceremony - 2017

“Leadership cannot be taught . It can only be learnt” – Harold Geneen

Between the lush green campus of Gurukula public School all the students were excited and in hurry for completing the preparations for the oath taking ceremony of Gurukula’s student’s council on 10 July 2017. All the 20 teachers from class X were choose carefully by conducting interviews and by calculating their performance from the last two years. For giving the members of student council their right full position a grand function was conducted.

Our former M.P Mr. Jayaprakash Hegde sir was chief guest and Joint Managing Trustee Shri Subhashchandra Shetty sir and Smt. Anupama S Shetty mam, School Principal Mr. Shyju K

R Nair Sir, College Principal Father Sunny Jhone also present. The master of ceremonies Apeksha and Ayush of class VIII kept the program going by their charm and enthusiasm. Prathiksha pai of class mind-blowing dance by students of class VIII . They really put color to the program. Nagarathna mam coordinator of high school welcomed and introduced the chief guest followed by oath taking. All the leaders solemnly and sincerely swore to fulfill the duties given to them. The batches were pinned, and slashes were given Mr. Jayaprakash Hegde sir gave a heart touching speech. What really brought smile on all our face was sir’s patience to answer all the question that were being asked our principal and Joint managing Trustee gave us inspiring speeches and congratulated all the leaders and told them to do their best. Later ASPL Miss Disha Shetty spoke about our thought and asked for support to make this year a memorable one. Last but not least Charithra class IX did the vote of thanks.

I must admit it was an eventful and memorable day to all. I would like to end my report of this wonderful ay by a thought from Harold Geneen.

“The first responsibility of leader is to define reality. The last is to say Thank you, In between, the leader is a servant”
