18th Annual Day Celebration

On 2nd December 2023, 18th Annual Day Celebration " Kala Vaibogam" where dance and tradition meet its epitome and spreads the message of rich heritage and cultural diversity of our country was held at our school.

The event saw the presence of distinguishedChief guest Dr. Rajashekhar, Associate Professor , Dept of Kannada, SDM College ( autonomous) , Ujireincluding the president of the programmeShri. B. Annappa Hegde, founder Chairman, Bhandya Educational Trust(R) Kundapura , Joint Managing Trustees Mr. Subhashchandra Shetty  and Mrs. Anupama S Shetty, Mr. Avinash, the Principal of Gurukula PU College, Mr. Mohan K , the Principal of Gurukula Public school.

 A huge stage was set with ample sitting space on the school ground for the function.

The chief guest and the dignitaries were welcomed to the stage through special Chande performance by the PU students. The Principals of the Gurukula PU College and Gurukula Public school escorted the dignitaries to the stage .

Master Shriman of grade X hosted the formal stage programme and welcomed the gathering  to the function. The programme began with a special prayer which kindled the fire of divine spirit.

Kumari Harshitha Shet of II PU welcomed the dignitaries. Mr. Avinash, the Principal of Gurukula PU College and Mr. Mohan K, the Principal of Gurukula Public school offered the beautiful bouquets to the chief guest and the president of the programme.

The Principals of both the institutions shared the glimpses of the events and activities held in this academic year and special achievements of the students.

Mrs. Sushma S, PGT announced the names of the students who have exhibited their academic excellence by bagging top positions with their outstanding performance during the academic year 2022-23. The chief guest Dr. Rajashekar and the founder chairman B. Annappa Hegde awarded the certificates and the prizes to the students.

Kumari Frenita D' Costa introduced the chief guest to the audience.

Dr. Rajashekhar shared his insights and inspired the audience through his speech. He requested parents to spend time with their children and elders instead of gadgets, understand the fact that children are very precious they are not the machines to fulfill your demands. Teach them some values also so that future generation will be happy, healthy and corruption free. Children observe the parents speech and actions towards others and they learn from them. So parents should always be a good model for their children.

Mr. Appanna Hegde delivered the presidential note and explained how the British education system damaged the culture and tradition of India. From the beginning Gurukula is striving hard to inculcate the ancient samskara among the students and succeeded in it . He thanked everyone in this regard and requested all the parents to be with the institution to achieve great in this regard.

The Joint Managing Trustees Mr. Subhashchandra Shetty and Mrs. Anupama S Shetty presented the momento to the chief guest as a mark of respect and gratitude.

Master Dhawal S Shetty, Student Pupil Leader proposed the vote of thanks and concluded the formal stage programme.

The cultural events began with a gracious welcome dance by the girls of Gurukula Public school. It was followed by variety of dance forms by the students of both the school and College and the teachers which showcased the beauty of rich tradition and cultural diversity of our country.

The cultural event was concluded with the national anthem. The programme was a grand success. The dance performances were amazing. The applauses were the result of the efforts from every student in the performance.
